common questions

Q. I have very sensitive skin. Is there a special treatment plan to reduce the chances I’ll have a reaction?

A. We do offer facials and treatments specifically designed for sensitive skin. We can also reduce the area being treated to limit your discomfort. Be sure to tell the aesthetician about your sensitivity at your consultation.

Q. What is an aesthetician?

A. An aesthetician is a specialist in skin care. Their treatments are performed on the surface of the skin, while a dermatologist can treat problems beneath the skin. Because skill is required to operate the high precision machines used to treat skin problems, aestheticians should be experienced and certified in the use of each type of treatment. Shannon Moon is certified in a range of treatments including laser hair removal, fractional technology, waxing, laser skin resurfacing, facials and many types of chemical peels.

Q. I have some odd growths I’d like removed. Can your treatments help?

A. Surface skin growths such as keratoses, fibromas and skin tags can be removed during treatment. However, should the growth appear malignant, you will be encouraged to see a dermatologist.
